Three men – an accountant, an artist and an engineer – are discussing their love lives.
The accountant says how much he loves his wife. She takes care of him. She is always there. She’s so constant. Everything he could want.
The artist disagrees. “What you really need is a mistress,” he says. “My wife is boring, but my mistress always makes sure there’s something new and exciting.”
They discuss this for a while until, finally, they ask the engineer for his view: which is better, a wife, or a mistress?
“I like having both,” says the engineer. “That way, each of them assumes I’m spending time with the other and I can go into the office and get some work done!”
